Whatsapp Will Read Messages To You, Allow Voicemail Service, And Take Selfies In The Dark

A takeover from Facebook seems to have done Whatsapp, the world's most popular chat app, some real good.

A new Android update has made it possible to take front-facing selfies with a flash (by lighting up the phone's screen) a feature that is usually not built into phones. This is only available for the Whatsapp app, not your phone's camera
Similar to Snapchat, the app will let you scribble on photos shot using the Whatsapp camera

iOS and Android can send an receive voicemails to each other if they fail to take a call using Whatsapp VOIP calls

Whatsapp Speak

Called 'Speak, a feature has been spotted on iPhone while tapping on a chat message. The 'Speak' option, which reads out the text in the message aloud, appears with other options like Reply, Forward, Copy, Delete and Message.
